Investigation skills for internal investigators

The programme introduces participants to a systematic approach to investigations. It enables them to undertake a workplace investigation in a consistent, fair and timely manner, in accordance with the ACAS Code and Guidance  and your organisational policies and procedures Participants are introduced to a three-stage process covering necessary investigation preparation, conduct and report writing. There is a blend of  knowledge input, group discussion and a relevant case study. It is suitable both for participants who have already undertaken investigations and those who wish to do so in the future.

Handling Hearings and Appeals

The programme enables managers who have the responsibility of undertaking Hearings or Appeals to do so in a consistent, fair and timely manner, with full awareness of the legal, ACAS and organisational contexts. The programme is a mixture of knowledge input, problem solving issues that frequently arise and group discussion.  It is suitable both for participants who have already undertaken Hearings or Appeals  and those who anticipate doing so in the future.

Conflict resolution skills for managers

The programme enables managers to resolve conflict informally in the workplace. It covers what conflict is, focusing on its causes and consequences, introducing participants to a four-stage process for conflict resolution and setting out the skills and attitudes required to facilitate conflict resolution effectively.
