Safeguarding guides for the voluntary sector launched

The National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) has launched a range of online safeguarding resources, to support voluntary organisations in preventing beneficiaries, staff and others from suffering harm. The resources have been created to achieve phase one of the Safeguarding Training Fund, set up in March 2019 by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. The resources include specialist guides for people working in specific roles, such as chief executives, trustees, fundraisers, HR staff, PR & Marketing staff and those working in voluntary sector infrastructure bodies. The NCVO Knowhow website https://knowhow.ncvo.org.uk/safeguarding acts as the main hub for the resources.
